Learning in Year 4

Year 4

In Year 4 the children are on their way to becoming independent learners.  They are developing new strategies and techniques in every subject, exploring new knowledge and understanding.

You can download the Year 4 Curriculum Guides using the links on the left.

In addition to our exciting Learning Journeys, Year 4 will be taking part in the Towner Art Project. The children will be looking at the local area, focusing on the South Downs and buildings of historical interest, as well as a focus artist.  Our choice of building for the project is the Jill Windmill in Clayton and our chosen artist is Robert Tavener.

During Terms 2 and 3, the children will be using this as an inspiration for their own artwork, culminating in a collaborative piece of work that will be on display at The Towner Art Gallery in Eastbourne.

Happy learning from the Year 4 Team
