Eastbourne Hub for Early Excellence
What is the purpose of the Hub?
The core purpose of the Early Years Hubs for Excellence is to enable the diverse early education provision in East Sussex to thrive.
EYFS Hubs provide regular opportunities for schools, pre-schools, childminders, nurseries, other key partners and the Local Authority to work in partnership across their local area to ensure that:
- All children are able to attend an early education provision that is rated at least Good by Ofsted
- All children achieve the best possible outcomes from their early education
- All children experience consistent and wherever possible seamless Foundation Stage learning.
The Eastbourne Hub
The Eastbourne Early Years Hub is co-ordinated by Debbie Jones, Sam Attwater, Corinna Scott and Helen Reed.
The aim for the Eastbourne Hub is to provide training, networking, moderation and opportunities to work together to improve outcomes for all the children in our settings. As a Hub we will meet across the academic year to take part in different activities including training and moderation. The content of our meetings and training will be decided by the group as a whole to ensure we are meeting the needs of the children and staff in our settings. The Hub will hold core meetings in terms 1, 3 and 5. Training dates will be in addition to these meetings.
All EYFS practitioners are very welcome to attend and contribute.
